Nixie said to me (this morning, in the context of working on a puzzle together):

"Try to keep up, old man."

Your kids are brutal.

Someone needs to teach her the phrase "ok, boomer".

That one has been used quite a bit in this house, in the last few days.

maybe so, but it made me lol.

I took it as having been said affectionately. ♥

"If more is better, then too much is just right", from a 71 y.o. university football coach at my gym.

:awesome:

"You can never get enough moderation", from the same guy when me met there eight years ago.
(He's had both hips replaced, 6 or 7 years apart. He was a competitive and
later professional water skier for 17 years extending into early adulthood.)

Can you believe it's Jan 4th already?

Took a few days off running...

Sewed a bunch of sealhide scraps together, then cut the resulting sheet into new mitts, sewed them, and got a compliment.

A lady at the coop (whose mitts were nicer than mine) complimented me on the 'appliques' on them, until I showed her they were sewed together. She then said my stitching was expert, and asked me who taught me.

I feel like I just got a medal of honour.

:)

"If you can read this, you're too close" reminds me of a sign I saw on a car not long ago: "the closer you get, the slower I go"

I legit want to get that sign for my car. If you're not driving at least 20 km over the speed limit, montreal drivers freak out.

In a Disney/ABC/Epstein Island kind of way?

Weird...

Linking to a Twitter thread, but its second post, a video, is the intended:

Look for Jessie Livermore's post "Just ask the people who are in the midst of it"
to locate the video.

I don't know of any method other than removing the accumulating fuel (deadwood/undergrowth)

I'm not as eloquent about it as hat guy, but I do think it's common sense.

Arson is also pretty common sense. Not nice to hear about, but probably important to keep an eye out for.

The phrase 'climate change' has done a lot less for this crisis, than a young hottie offering to show her minge ten donated bucks at a time.

Yay minge!
