:myeyesbleed: jfc amateur hour

:frog: ffs it's INDEX and not VLOOKUP (as vlookup is a weaksauce spreadsheet-bloating function)

:frog: if you need to told to use a pivot table the IT people should come and quietly uninstall Excel before you do more damage

:frog: the other things are the hallmark of the desperately unlearned

I need OP8 to weigh in here :coffee:

I've always been displeased with the aesthetics of pivot tables

nostrum 9th September 2015 02:07 AM

yes, PT's are awful-looking

the posers here colour all the sub-totals and put in column colouring as well as selecting the most eye-offending theme for the overall table

I mean, my ex-mgr managed to get a spreadsheet to have > 65000 different styles which causes file corruption

why the fuck do you need to slap the eyeballs? People who can read pivot tables (thus the only ones who should be creating them or be the audience for them) are just put off by the puffery

nostrum 9th September 2015 02:10 AM

I have to confess that the google sheet that I have to work with for GMing with a known paid killer has formulae that even I find ugly
