I would think so. maintaining any of those looks would be very time consuming. The one with the 'cacti' is amazing.

Yup. But then I remembered my mom's. One night I came home a bit monged up, past mom's bed time, so I made a cup of tea and sat down in the kitchen next to the aquarium. I watched those fish until way into the early hours, completely zoned out, before the cold finally shivered me out of it.

Not exactly a photo...

I was looking for photos of the Bay of Fundy which might express the vastness of the mudflats at low tide, but while there are hundreds of photos showing parts of the flats or views out to sea, none that I found were able to showcase how big they are, how far away the ocean is; at your toes in the morning and nothing but a line of blue haze on the horizon by afternoon.

So I looked for aerial photos and haven't found much that comes near what I wanted to see and show, but I found this, from a study meant to support tidal energy research, and think it is beautiful and says something:

Fields of sand waves, up to 20 m high, move and change with each tidal cycle:

Quote:
The Bay of Fundy's seafloor is covered with glacial landforms created by a continental ice sheet that once covered the entire area and retreated about 14,000 years ago. The glaciers created complex and highly variable seafloor geology within the bay.

Fields of sand waves, up to 20 m high, move and change with each tidal cycle (Figure 4). How much and how often the bedforms move is important for designing and locating future tidal energy installations
