Do you actually prefer it over real food (when it's cold), or are there other reasons, like saving money, time, losing weight, etc.?

Is consuming it over the course of the day somehow better than consuming real food or a serving of it at one sitting at lunch time or whatever?

Yes, except certain things like dairy products and steak/beef

Yes because you intake calories as you burn them it is the healthiest way to consume

This feels more dismissive than an honest response.

Why ask a question if you're going to be an ass about the response?

If you disagree, please state your argument.

Yeah, it was kinda dismissive, sorry. I was wondering about weight loss (since I'm a fat fuck if I don't exercise 10+ hours a week) and you didn't explicitly answer that. You just said it's healthy without addressing what specific was healthy about it.

@ PH

It is designed to be nutritionally balanced enough to replace a meal I think 500 calories? the liquid is 400 calories

with about 45% carbs, the other divided among protein and fats from good fats.

It will work for weight loss. You just have to consume less than you burn. Typically people burn about 2000 cal a day. I don't use it for weight loss, but for nutrition. I am losing weight, but that's because I walk ~10mi a day at work, plus lots of physical labor.

But basically intaking calories continuously throughout the day instead of in bursts keeps your metabolism going and results in a healthier calorie usage, uh, rate I guess.

eta: I read the wiki article. It appears to be a decent sugar substitute. Are there any controversies about it?

Not really.

There ar ed a few questionable minerals bur the questions are more about the body's ability to metabolize them fully and not so much about side effects.

Which is why there are so many lipids for the other minerals to bond to for metabolization but *whistles* whatever
