me gwan mek a selassie soldier.

there's only one way to drop that bass.
i was at this open mic thing in cardiff one night, there was main band and peeps just jammed in. there was this guy there who was all super-friendly as soon as i walked in with a friend, both of us carrying guitar cases. seemed nice enough, maybe a bit backward. the only black guy in the pub. so the band play Land Down Under, and with the reggae vibe picked up they go for Three Little Birds. And it's excellent.
So this black guys goes up to the bassist and is talking to him while they're playing, the other musicians are all looking slightly awkward/embarrassed, but sure enough the bassist hands it over.

And boom! The band's bassist was fine, but when this guy dropped it everybody's legs went. the place just went awesome. we had to follow that shit.
