Well, at least we're all agreed that daylight saving is an excellent idea.

I love it when the sun comes up at 7, then the next day it's up at 6. And I like it when autumn comes and we get an hour lie in.

Is this the cross threading thread?
Are there bars where you can go and do that?

I agree with Req's markets open at 9 - who cares what position the sun;

And then there's northern vs. southern hemisphere happenings, yes?

Spring forward 1 hour up north + fall back 1 hour down south = 2 hour reduction in time differences (e.g. between London and Sydney).

Amazing how modern man can speed up and slow down the sun now days.
It's why we don't have it in queensland.
We figure that's gods job.

Instead of fucking around with clocks?
Why don't you all just get up an hour later and go to bed an hour earlier?

No cuntbubble you shut up. In your example the sun was rising at 7AM (GMT). After the clocks go forward it rises at 8AM BST. As you yourself pointed out, it is in the autumn when when gain an extra hour in the morning, so all this shit about April markets is something you pulled out of your ass. eta fuckface

what does that have to do with anything, the following is simply a fuck up on your part:

Quote:

The clocks go forward. The sun rises at 6
clocks go forward in late spring so your dumb farmer's clock now says 8 at sunrise, giving the cunt only an hour to get shit done before market

Putting aside Req's trolling of gib with deliberate errors:

I have some fun random trivia!

If you compare the clock-time of one day's sunrise to that of the next day's sunrise, and similarly compare one day's sunset to the next day's sunset, in order to see how much daylight you're gaining/losing in the morning and how much daylight you're gaining/losing in the evening, the two are generally not the same.

Near the spring equinox, the amount of daylight you gain from one day to the next is mostly in the morning, with relatively little gain in the evening. And near the autumn equinox, the amount of daylight you lose from one day to the next is mostly in the evening, with relatively little loss in the morning.

It sort of makes up for things at the solstices, where we gain daylight in the evening and lose daylight in the morning.

(Earliest sunset is some days before winter solstice, and latest sunrise is some days after. Similarly, earliest sunrise is some days before summer solstice, and latest sunset is some days after.)
