Science debunks the vast universe theory.

How about you do the maths..

Have just lit the first woodstove fire of the season.

It was 2 when I got up this morning. Toughed it out until half an hour ago. At least it was sunny and got up to 13C.

I wish it was just cold. Having to switch the AC in my car from hot to cold and back again every day is just so inconvenient.

92F/33C here today. There have been two hillside wildfires in a nearby* town so far this week. At least one (and I think both) involved evacuations and a multi-firedept response as well as the state fire fighting org.

*nearby as in holy shit that was about a mile from where I live. Given how fires have spread rapidly and aggressively this year a mile-ish is WAAAAAAY too fucking close.

Hhahaha, the guys from Dallas were whining about how hot & humid it was in the warehouse today. It was actually quite pleasant compared to the last several weeks. First time I've spent significant time out there without complaining.

A mile is definitely way too damn close.
