It's already windy here, with a few drops of rain. I live in the predicted area where Teddy will come ashore, hopefully having dropped from a Cat 1 to a tropical storm. Everything is secured that we can think of, and I filled the wood rack this morning, just before th wind started to pick up. We're as ready as we can get.

Made it there and back with no issues. Nearly half the staff called in today, and as the rain continued through the morning the boss told anyone worried could go home early. I think there were 5 of us at the end of the shift (full staff is about 30 people).

I have seen pictures of the flooding on highway288 inside the loop. It looks pretty bad

The area that was big on local news is about 2 miles from my house. The bayou went over the bank at about 8pm Monday night. and kept rising for 2 more hours.
